Location: State College, PA
Shift Type: 8-hour shifts, primarily during daytime hours; rotating weekdays and some afternoon coverage as needed

A leading healthcare system in State College, Pennsylvania is expanding its pharmacy team and seeking a Staff Pharmacist who thrives in a dual-capacity environment. In this role, youll provide critical services within central pharmacy operations and also step into ambulatory care when neededmaking a direct impact on both inpatient and outpatient populations.

Key Responsibilities:

Review, verify, and enter medication orders with accuracy and clinical judgment

Dispense medications efficiently and according to regulatory and institutional protocols

Serve as a reliable source of drug-related information to medical staff and nursing

Document interventions, therapy monitoring, and consult activities using Meditech and surveillance systems

Contribute to sterile compounding workflows, including preparation of:

Chemotherapy drugs
-
High-risk medications
-
Controlled substance infusions
-
Ensure compliance with USP standards and internal aseptic techniques

Conduct protocol-driven therapy monitoring and manage pharmacist-led consults

In ambulatory settings, collaborate with providers through documented recommendations or collaborative agreements
What Were Looking For:

Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license (or eligibility to obtain)

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

PGY-1 Residency or minimum of 3 years recent clinical experience in a hospital or similar care setting

Strong attention to detail, clinical competency, and ability to work collaboratively with care teams
