GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications for Primary Care Physician Extenders (PA or NP) to work alongside the 27th Special Operations Medical Group, in support of Cannon Air Force Base (Clovis, New Mexico).

Physican Assistant Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree
- Graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
Certifications:
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants (NCCPA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Licensure/Registration:
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
Nurse Practitioner Requirements:
Education:
- Master's degree in nursing (MSN)
- Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Certifications:
- Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Licensure/Registration:
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
Duties:
- Assist/conduct all Mental Health Assessments (MHA) pre/post deployment, as well as all non-flyer annual MHAs in accordance with local policy.
- Recommend medical referrals/follow-up for deployment-related health concerns as indicated and/or aligned with appropriate Clinical Practice Guidelines.
- Conduct all assessments in a private setting and review health records for any conditions that may impact service members ability to deploy.
- Ensure service members have access to comprehensive counseling on the full range of methods for contraception, pregnancy prevention, and menstrual suppression, as applicable.
- Complete all DoD and Air Force deployment health, mental health, and period health assessment trainings.
