A Connecticut-based non-profit focused on environmental education and community engagement is seeking a Programs & Operations Manager to oversee operations, marketing, and grant initiatives. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys diverse responsibilities and mission-driven work.
About the Organization:
The organization runs a variety of educational and community programs each year, including workshops, speaker events, film viewings, and family-oriented activities. It provides grants, scholarships, and awards to support environmental initiatives and offers office and meeting space to local groups and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities of the Programs & Operations Manager:
- Manage daily operations and administrative tasks
- Lead marketing, communications, and social media efforts
- Support grant writing, tracking, and reporting
- Plan and coordinate events and educational programs
- Build relationships with donors, partners, and volunteers
- Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in operations or management
- Non-profit experience
- Strong marketing, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
- Interest in environmental issues
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, QuickBooks, Publisher, Canva, and donor database systems
- Experience with WordPress, Constant Contact, MailChimp, and social media platforms
- Basic videography skills are a plus
- Associate’s degree or higher
