Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in respiratory care across all age groups and skilled in performing a variety of respiratory tests. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to educate patients and families, and proficiency with respiratory equipment and electronic health records, such as EPIC.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care utilizing a wide range of respiratory therapy equipment
- Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions and prescribed medications
- Perform diagnostic testing including Pulmonary Function Tests, Stress Tests, and EKGs
- Deliver compassionate care to patients of all age groups
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EPIC system
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with a variety of respiratory therapy equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients across the lifespan
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an acute care or clinical setting
- Proficiency in patient and family education regarding respiratory health and treatment
Certifications
- Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Must hold an active license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred
Education: Bachelors Degree
Certification: Basic Life Support , Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
