Job Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist with at least 1 year of pediatric experience, BLS, and ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in an acute care hospital's Echocardiography unit
- Patient population includes newborns, children, and adults with focus on congenital heart defects and structural heart cases
- Perform general echo imaging, bubble studies, contrast studies (Lumison), and TEEs preferred
- No OR structural cases or stress echoes required
- Use Philips Epiq Echo Machine and Astra Machine for scope processing
- EMR system is Epic
- Shift schedule includes four 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekend rotation requires work twice per 6-week schedule period
- Night on-call rotation averages twice per week from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Possible floating to nearby Allenmore and Good Samaritan hospitals as needed
- Portable exams only, no dedicated echo suites in the hospital
- Average caseload of 8 echo studies per 10-hour shift
- Work alongside a team lead, manager, 4-5 echo technologists per shift, cardiologists, and other hospital support staff
- Team-oriented culture with strong peer support
- Secure messaging available through PerfectServe
- Departmental orientation lasts 1-2 days, plus facility orientation
- Potential to float to nearby locations within the same health system and will be notified in advance
- Holiday coverage may include up to 50% of holidays during the contract
- Paid parking is provided in a parking garage
- Scrubs are provided or any solid color scrubs may be worn
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Requests for time off must be discussed with the manager

- Current BLS certification
- ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification is required
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, including at least 1 year imaging pediatric patients with congenital heart defects
- Proficiency in general echo imaging, bubble studies, and contrast studies such as Lumison
- TEE experience is preferred
- Experience working with Epic EMR is required
- License required if applicable
