Customer Service / Logistics Representative
Position Summary:
Sonoma Gourmet is currently looking for a seasoned Customer Service/Logistics Representative to assist with one or more of our brands. The Customer Service/Logistics is the primary point of contact for our customers and consumers. They will also be responsible for processing orders and coordinating logistics. This is a full-time role, and this individual will work out of our San Leandro office.
Essential Functions
- Arrange and manage freight carriers for product shipments from various locations in a cost-effective manner
- Respond and follow up on inquiries verbal/written with customers (external/internal), vendors and consumers
- Responsible for accurate processing of all orders and to confirm customer purchase orders, pricing, track shipments and communicate any issues in fulfillment
- Manage finished goods orders to co-packers, and arrange logistics
- Works closely with Operations to manage inventory levels at all locations for the brand
- Prepare and distribute company reports for shipping/receiving, production, inventory, WIP and other reports as needed.
- Works closely with brand management on forecasts and new distribution needs
- Other projects as required
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High School degree/GED
- 3 to 5 year’s customer service experience in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, or combination higher education and experience
- Experience working within a production and/or sales environment a plus
- Candidates should have logistics and freight scheduling experience
Knowledge and Skills
- Must be exceptionally detail oriented
- Ability to manage, monitor and reconcile inventory
- Comfortable with ERP or inventory systems
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: positive, respectful and customer focused
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional attitude, enthusiastic and reliable
- Results/deadline oriented with effective follow through
- Solid Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with EDI a plus
