Job DescriptionAs a Patient Care Coordinator for a leading healthcare practice, you will play a key role in ensuring patients receive exceptional care throughout their journey from their first consultation to ongoing support. This is a part-time position, three (3) days per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, offering a rewarding opportunity to contribute to our mission of improving health in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing compassionate assistance and guidance with inquiries, scheduling appointments, and addressing concerns.
- Maintain clear and effective communication between patients, providers, and administrative staff.
- Schedule initial consultations, fittings, and follow-up visits with accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate appointment reminders and ensure timely follow-ups to minimize scheduling conflicts and missed visits.
- Educate patients on options including features and benefits while offering empathetic support during decision-making.
- Address patient concerns regarding insurance coverage, financing options, and warranties with professionalism.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process paperwork related to appointments, new patient documentation, and invoicing.
- Handle payment transactions, explain payment options, and support a seamless purchasing experience.
- Track orders, monitor inventory, and verify insurance information from the billing department.
- Build relationships with healthcare providers, senior centers, and community organizations to expand outreach and patient engagement.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse groups.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computer software for scheduling, documentation, and communication.
- Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help improve the lives of patients with hearing loss.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or patient-facing role preferred.
