Location: Terror Trail Haunted Hayride – Music City Raceway, Nashville, TN
Rate: $200/day (hours vary)
Start Date: September 1st
Schedule: Nights and weekends required (Outdoor, evening event)
About the Event:
Terror Trail Haunted Hayride is Nashville’s premier outdoor Halloween experience, featuring a 45-minute haunted hayride through deep woods, theatrical scenes, chilling special effects, and live performers. Held at Music City Raceway, this immersive event draws thousands of thrill-seekers throughout the month of October.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Production & Event Staff Manager to lead and manage nightly operations of our haunted hayride experience. This role will oversee a dynamic team of actors, technicians, and support staff to ensure the event runs smoothly, safely, and at the highest quality of entertainment.
Ideal candidates are calm under pressure, excellent communicators, and natural leaders who can thrive in a fast-paced outdoor event environment with many moving parts.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily/nightly operations of the haunted hayride event

Supervise event staff including actors, technicians, parking attendants, and front-of-house

Manage staff call times, breaks, and scheduling adjustments in real time

Manage customer communications into help mailbox

Maintain show flow and timing between scenes and hayride dispatches

Assist with on-site problem solving, guest concerns, and safety incidents

Coordinate with tech and special effects teams for scene resets and maintenance

Ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols throughout the event

Communicate with event producers and report nightly operations updates
Qualifications:

Previous experience in live event production, stage management, or haunted attractions preferred

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to adapt quickly and make fast decisions in a high-energy environment

Comfortable working outdoors at night, in varying weather conditions

Ability to walk long distances and be on your feet for extended periods

Bonus: Knowledge in special effects, theatrical production, or customer service
Additional Details:

This is a seasonal, contracted position with immediate start

Training and orientation will be provided on-site

Must have reliable transportation to and from Music City Raceway
