Summary

Plan, direct and coordinate construction specific tasks, including, scheduling teams and equipment, managing budgets, documentation, coordination, directing multiple teams simultaneously in multiple cities/states and client interaction; direct compliance with Company safety program and policies; assist with project bidding and estimating; maintaining customer service and relations; and account management.

Job Functions

  • Manage assigned company jobs in a professional manner, focus on ensuring project is safe and our team is delivering quality workmanship.
  • Review estimates prior to start of project. Maintain projects within scope of work and aligned with estimate.
  • Prepare schedules, ensure required materials are available, monitor project budgets, and prepare all required paperwork.
  • Travel to projects to monitor job site conditions, interact with customer’s field team and develop relationships with GWD Foreman, Crew and Safety Team. Attend job site client meetings including preconstruction meetings as needed
  • Build rapport with customers, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Work as part of a team to accomplish the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide clear verbal and written communications and ensure expected outcomes and targets are understood
  • Maintain a positive attitude and address issues with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Communicate with Ownership and collaborate with company leadership regularly on project status and company risk/opportunity, including those in Operations, Warehouse, HR and Finance.
  • Attract & maintain staff through recruitment, training and managing of employees. Working with Operations leadership and Recruiters to plan variances in labor plans.
  • Mentor and train Foreman, Right-Hand Man and Crew to achieve project targets monitored daily and weekly.
  • Collaborates with Superintendent to outline work plan, assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Maintain documentation of projects through photos, videos etc through designated company applications, timekeeping systems and other project management tools including Fieldwire.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of prior construction industry leadership experience
  • Ability to travel approximately 25-40% to job sites around the country
  • Ability to stay organized, manage people, forecast labor shortages/overages and maintain a safety-first project while maintaining project performance expectations.
  • OSHA 30 certified
  • Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
  • Effective problem-solving and mediation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Lift Certified
  • Hilti Certified
  • Fluent English/Spanish speaking skills are preferred but not required

Location: Remote work is available to candidates in the Dallas, TX and Nashville, TN metropolitan markets. Frequent travel to job sites is still expected and some travel to the corporate office in Florida will be required.
