Job DescriptionWe are looking for a meticulous and efficient Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Von Ormy, Texas. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of invoices, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors. Responsibilities:
• Process and verify invoices by cross-checking them with purchase orders and receipts for accuracy.
• Accurately input invoice details into accounting systems to ensure timely and precise transaction postings.
• Schedule and prepare payments for approved invoices while adhering to company policies and deadlines.
• Communicate with vendors to address payment inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong relationships.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks, including reconciling accounts payable ledgers.
• Support the implementation and use of QuickBooks Online for efficient financial management.
• Contribute to maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Handle expense reporting and ensure proper coding of invoices for accurate documentation.• High school diploma required; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or similar financial roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with QuickBooks Online is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of 3-way matching and general ledger accounts.
• Exceptional mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
