Our client, a highly regarded and well-established behavioral health organization, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Inpatient Psychiatrist to join their expanding team in Middletown, Connecticut. This is a full-time, permanent position within a maximum-security inpatient facility, offering the unique opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a secure, structured environment.

Qualifications:

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution

Completion of an accredited residency in Psychiatry

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

Eligible for or currently hold a Connecticut medical license
-
Must be eligible to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal/state healthcare programs
Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment for adult inpatients in a maximum-security setting

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical teams, including nursing, social work, and therapy staff

Participate in treatment team meetings and case reviews

Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards

Work in a specialized maximum-security psychiatric facility focused on safety and recovery
