Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time physical therapist position is available within a K-12 public school setting in Salem, OR, for the contract period from April 1, 2026, through January 1, 2027. This onsite role offers the opportunity to support students across the academic year while actively contributing to their physical development and educational experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct and indirect physical therapy services to students with special needs.
- Covering for staff leave periods, including responsibilities during summer school and jump start kindergarten programs.
- Participating in staff training and professional development sessions in September, with the potential for extended full-time hours based on school needs.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
Qualifications and experience:
- Active Special Education certification/license for physical therapy in Oregon is required.
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 student populations in an educational setting.
