Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join our construction team. This role involves performing a wide range of carpentry tasks, completing onsite punch lists, coordinating with subcontractors, assisting with site supervision, and supporting general construction activities including site work, demolition, and material or dirt moving when needed. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on carpentry experience, is detail-oriented, and can effectively manage small teams or subcontractors on-site.

Key Responsibilities
Perform General Carpentry Tasks

Framing, trim, doors, cabinetry, hardware installation, and other finish carpentry.

Rough and finish work as needed to support ongoing site activities.
Site Work, Demolition & General Labor

Assist with light demolition, material removal, and jobsite preparation when required.

Support site work activities including grading assistance, dirt moving, and material handling.

Operate basic tools and equipment safely to assist with excavation prep, cleanup, and site organization.

Help maintain jobsite efficiency by assisting crews where needed during various phases of construction.
Onsite Punch List Completion

Identify, document, and resolve outstanding work items to meet project closeout standards.

Perform touch-ups, adjustments, and repairs as required to complete punch list tasks.
Site Coordination

Communicate effectively with subcontractors to ensure timely task execution.

Assist in scheduling and sequencing of subcontractor work in collaboration with the project team.

Ensure that site work by trades meets company quality and safety standards.
Site Supervision Support

Monitor daily jobsite activities and report progress to the project manager or superintendent.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Enforce safety regulations and company policies on site when in a supervisory role.
Quality Control

Inspect work completed by subcontractors and carpentry staff to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.

Proactively identify and address construction issues or deficiencies.
Materials & Tools

Manage carpentry tools, materials, and supplies.

Assist in material take-offs, ordering, and tracking inventory related to carpentry tasks.
Qualifications
-
Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience in residential or commercial construction.

Experience assisting with general construction tasks such as demolition, site preparation, or material handling is preferred.

Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.

Experience with punch list work and general site coordination.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
Working Conditions
-
Work is performed primarily on active construction sites.
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.

May assist with outdoor site work including demolition, grading preparation, and moving materials or dirt as needed.

May be required to work extended hours depending on project deadlines.
