Job Description
The general purpose of the Laser, Punch, Water Jet and CNC Operator is to cut products out of materials using engineering models, drawings and/or instructions. The operator will convert applicable engineering or instructions into SigmaNest to allow parts to be manufactured.
A Laser, Punch, Water Jet and CNC Router operator’s primary task is to take raw materials and convert to useful flats to allow manufacturing operations to occur in the sequence required by the MRP system. The operator should be able to read and understand blue prints and typical measurement equipment used within a manufacturing facility.
We have two shifts available:
M-F 7am-3:30pm (may need to be available to work night shift when needed) - this shift requires Solidworks or AutoCAD experience.
2nd shift M-F 3pm-1am
Primary Functions:
- Operate Laser, Punch, CNC Router, and Water Jet
- Ability to use SigmaNest
- Read blueprints
- Ability to work and perform in a team environment
Required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience
- Basic machining practices
- Must be able to perform basic math
- Experience in CNC operations
- Tech school training or equivalent experience in CNC operations
- Personal Characteristics – Must be willing and able to work as a team player
Physical and environmental requirements
Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
