A full-time Special Education Teacher position is open for the 2026-2027 academic year within an inclusive elementary school environment. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience supporting students with I/DD and neurodiversity strongly preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and CSD (Communication, Social, and Development) strategies
- Collaborative spirit, ready to partner with teachers, specialists, and families
- Positive, adaptable attitude to meet the evolving needs of elementary students
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and support tailored to elementary students with varying abilities, nurturing independence and confidence in each child
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
- Foster a safe, inclusive classroom aligned with the school’s commitment to community and diversity
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure a coordinated approach to student support
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development
- Support RiseUp programs, which include residential, academic, and community engagement for students with I/DD
