Job Description
We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our team in Spokane. This role involves stainless‑steel fabrication, straightening, and welding using both gas and electric welding equipment, with additional work on carbon‑steel and exotic metals.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding.
- Interpret instructions, prints, and work orders for job preparation.
- Follow technical documentation, design specifications, and welding procedure specifications.
- Execute fabrication tasks including cutting, burning, straightening, and welding metals.
- Read and apply Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and related documents.
- Maintain accurate records such as weld mapping and material traceability.
- Use precision measuring instruments (including Faro Arm) to ensure tolerances.
- Identify and recommend product and process improvements.
- Utilize basic MRP system knowledge for daily tasks.
- Complete quality verifications, weld records, and build records.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in TIG Welding (GTAW) and MIG/FCAW.
- Minimum 5 years of welding experience or equivalent certification.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and apply tolerances.
- Experience with test positions (1G, 2G, 3G) and complete joint penetration on stainless steel using TIG/MIG.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate of Arts degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
- Accredited trade or vocational welding certificate may substitute for 1 year of experience.

Work Environment
This role is part of the Applied Technologies division specializing in stainless steel glovebox engineering and fabrication for the nuclear industry. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery, vibration, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Work may involve electrical hazards, heights, and varying weather conditions. PPE and protective clothing are required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79497.60/yr.
