Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position in Clinton Township, MI is a fantastic opportunity for an occupational therapist skilled in school-based practice to provide essential support during a maternity leave backfill from April 7th to June 10th. The role involves managing an elementary school caseload with approximately 40 students across three buildings receiving both direct and indirect services.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy services to students, addressing individual needs
Write and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and adjustments to interventions
Perform student evaluations and complete Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) reports
Collaborate with school staff to ensure compliance with educational and therapeutic standards
Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success planning

Desired Qualifications:

Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school settings
Strong knowledge of school-based therapy regulations and best practices
Ability to manage caseloads effectively and work across multiple school buildings
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience with IEP development and evaluation procedures

Contract Duration: April 7th to June 10th (Maternity Leave Backfill)
