Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000
CV Resources is partnering with a private equity-backed, multi-state healthcare organization to identify a Vice President of Human Resources. This organization has approximately 500 employees and is in a strong growth phase, with a focus on building scalable infrastructure and operational excellence across its footprint.
Position Overview
The Vice President of Human Resources will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading and optimizing the HR function across a multi-state platform. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategy with execution, with an immediate focus on strengthening HR operations, ensuring compliance, and improving cross-functional alignment.
The ideal candidate brings experience in complex, multi-site environments and has a proven ability to build structure, enhance processes, and support a growing organization through change and scale.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Infrastructure
- Lead the development and standardization of HR processes across multiple states and locations
- Establish and maintain strong operational controls to mitigate payroll and compliance risk
- Partner closely with Payroll, Finance, and Operations to ensure accuracy in employee data and status changes
- Build scalable HR infrastructure to support organizational growth
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific regulations
- Oversee employee file management, audits, and reporting requirements
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures, including employee handbook updates
- Establish ongoing compliance reporting and monitoring processes
Systems & Process Optimization
- Evaluate and optimize HR systems, including workflow automation and reporting capabilities
- Implement efficient processes for onboarding, performance management, and corrective action
- Enhance visibility into workforce data to support decision-making
Talent, Engagement & Culture
- Oversee onboarding, training compliance, and employee engagement initiatives
- Partner with leadership to improve retention, performance, and employee experience
- Lead compensation benchmarking and support total rewards strategy
- Support leadership development and organizational effectiveness
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including senior leadership or VP-level roles
- Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industries preferred
- Proven success in multi-state, multi-site environments
- Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations strongly preferred
- Strong background in HR operations, compliance, and process improvement
- Experience with HRIS platforms (Paycom preferred)
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment
