Doyon Government Group is hiring an experienced Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) to provide environmental expertise on contaminated site work, remediation projects, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures all activities meet ADEC standards and federal requirements while supporting project teams with clear guidance and technical accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct environmental site assessments, investigations, and remediation activities under ADEC 18 AAC 75.333
• Prepare technical reports including project scopes, responsibilities, and timelines
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations including 40 CFR, 29 CFR 1910, and 49 CFR 100 199
• Coordinate work performed by environmental staff and subcontractors
• Partner with project managers and field teams to implement practical environmental solutions
• Maintain detailed project documentation for regulatory reviews and proposal submissions
• Support proposal efforts with accurate project histories and experience summaries
Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following
• Four year degree in environmental science or related field plus one year of supervised experience in contaminated site characterization and cleanup
• Four year degree in any field or two year associate degree in environmental science or related field plus three years of supervised experience in contaminated site characterization and cleanup
• Certified environmental technician under a 29 CFR Part 29 apprenticeship plus three years of supervised experience in contaminated site characterization and cleanup
Required Certifications
• 40 CFR Protection of Environment
• 29 CFR 1910 Occupational Safety and Health Standards
• 49 CFR 100 199 Hazardous Materials Transportation Handling and Storage
Skills and Competencies
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation
• Effective communication with project teams, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
