We are a patient-focused general dental practice seeking a reliable and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable assisting in both clinical and administrative tasks to support efficient patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures (restorative, extractions, endo, crown/bridge, etc.)
- Prepare and break down treatment rooms; maintain sterilization and infection control standards
- Take dental X-rays (per NM regulations)
- Prepare instruments, materials, and medications as directed
- Assist with impressions, temporaries, and patient education
- Chart treatment and update patient records in Open Dental
- Manage operatory flow and anticipate provider needs
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures
- Support front office as needed (room turnover, scanning documents, light phone support)
