Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in West Seneca, New York. This role is vital to maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed analysis of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities to ensure financial accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Monitor manufacturing expenses, ensuring costs are accurately reflected in inventory bills of materials.
• Supervise and provide guidance to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
• Build expertise in the company’s accounting system to optimize input and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with various departments, including sales, logistics, quality control, and manufacturing leads, to support organizational goals.
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies while implementing process improvements.
• Lead special projects to enhance operational efficiency and financial reporting.• Proven experience with month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and audits.
• Expertise in financial reporting and compliance standards.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor accounting teams.
• Familiarity with manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
