We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join a team on a contract basis in Blaine, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a key part in managing account reconciliations, assisting with budgeting tasks, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a small team while contributing to essential accounting processes.


Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

• Analyze and resolve issues within financial records, ensuring all entries are correctly aligned.

• Assist in setting up and organizing new charts of accounts using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills to support the creation and management of budget models.

• Collaborate with team members to address accounts receivable tasks, including determining necessary write-offs.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.

• Support the budgeting process by providing detailed financial data and insights.

• Work closely with the team to ensure smooth and efficient accounting operations.

• Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in all financial documentation.

• Proven experience in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop versions.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including the ability to create and manage budget models.
• Familiarity with general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Experience with accounts receivable processes, including identifying write-offs.
• Ability to set up and organize new charts of accounts effectively.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a small team.
