We are looking for a dedicated and personable Medical Receptionist to join our team in Oakland, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth front-office operations and delivering excellent service to patients. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment.


Responsibilities:

• Answer and manage incoming calls, handling approximately 24–31 calls daily with professionalism and efficiency.

• Welcome patients warmly, assisting with check-in procedures and ensuring their needs are met.

• Process and organize intake forms accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Schedule, reschedule, and manage appointments in coordination with clinic operations.

• Perform general administrative duties to support two clinic locations, including travel between sites as needed.

• Maintain familiarity with clinic regulations and insurance processes to provide accurate information.

• Collaborate with staff to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency.

• Uphold office organization by managing records, files, and other documentation.

• Provide support with basic medical terminology and patient inquiries.

• Utilize Spanish language skills to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients, if applicable.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical front office or receptionist roles.
• Strong skills in patient scheduling and handling front-office operations.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology and procedures.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and clinic regulations is a plus.
• Flexibility to work at multiple locations and travel as required.
