Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a full-time General Education Teacher specializing in Kindergarten within an elementary school setting. This contract position offers two possible start dates: ASAP through the End of School Year (EoSY) or from March 16th through EoSY. The role is located in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities include providing classroom instruction as a Stages Teacher with a focus on developing social-emotional learning (SEL) skills. The teacher will collaborate closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Additionally, the role requires utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to support student development effectively.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience teaching Kindergarten in a general education setting
- Strong background in social-emotional learning practices
- Ability to collaborate with BCBAs and implement BIPs and IEPs
- Familiarity with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as applied in educational settings
- Skills in special education are a plus, especially in supporting diverse learning needs
