Job Description:
The RN will work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), providing care for adult patients with cardiac, med/surg, vascular, and other medical conditions. The nurse will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients according to the unit’s policies.
- Titrate medications like Heparin, Nitro, and Amiodarone as necessary.
- Interpret telemetry strips and manage RT equipment like high flow devices.
- Participate in team efforts for patient experience improvements and cultural competence.
- Float to MedSurg or ICU to take PCU acuity patients, if needed.
Requirements:
- Active RN License
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Certifications
- Competency in Arterial Lines and titration of drips
- Pass/Fail open book exam with a score of 90% during orientation
