We are looking for a highly motivated dental receptionist with excellent people skills and a love for their profession. They will have to manage front-office operations of the practice, including scheduling, managing patient records, handling insurance, and providing customer service. Previous dental experience is preferred, but a great attitude and strong work ethic are our first priorities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Scheduling and Appointment Management:
· Scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling appointments.
· Confirming appointments and sending reminders.
· Managing and updating patient schedules.
2. Patient Records and Data Management:
· Maintaining patient records, including updating information and filing paperwork.
· Verifying insurance information and claims.
· Entering data into computer systems.
3. Financial and Billing:
· Collecting payments, including copays and balances.
· Processing insurance claims.
4. Customer Service:
· Greeting patients and answering phone calls.
· Addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
· Providing excellent customer service.
5. Administrative Tasks:
· Filing, scanning, and copying documents.
· Managing office supplies.
· Communicating with vendors.
6. Confidentiality:
· Maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting sensitive information.
Skills Required:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Computer literacy and proficiency in dental software (Dentrix preferred)
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance protocols.
