● Department Information:
o Average patients/day: 15
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years for RN and Surg Tech
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? No
● Common Specialty/Case Types:
o 3 OR Multispecialty Facility
o Adults and Pediatrics (6mo-80 yrs)
o Common Specialty/Case Types: ENT (Rhinos, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) w/Medtronic Stealth Navigation, Ortho, General, GYN-Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic, Urology (Cystoscopies), Plastics, Oculoplastics, Sports Medicine
● Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
o OR RN: BLS, ACLS, PALS
o Surgical Tech: BLS, Graduation from and accredited program required; CST preferred
● Skills required:
o OR RN: Will work both PreOp/PACU and circulating cases.
▪ Preop/PACU: PIV starts, med administration, assisting anesthesiologist with blocks, discharge teaching, airway management, Epic experience preferred strong interdisciplinary communication skills
▪ Circulator: Epic experience preferred, Specimen management, Preference card knowledge, patient positioning, strong interdisciplinary communication skills, circulating experience.
o Surgical Tech: Sterile technique, multispecialty scrub experience, communication, teamwork
● Support within the Department:
o OR Manager
o Float Team
o Anesthesiologist
o CRNA
o Surgeon
o Nurse Manager
o Nurse Quality Manager
o Administrator
● Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o Department Specific Equipment: Davinci XI, Arthrex, Smith & Nephew, Karl Storz, Megadyne, Hologic Fluent Management System, Cool Seal, Stryker Tourniquets
● Floating: If yes, where?

● Orientation (facility and unit):
o NEO
o 1 day departmental
● Scheduling:
o Monday – Friday (4) 10hr shifts – 0630-1700
o No weekends
o No call
o No holidays
o RTO: Manager approval
o Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
