Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage our commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with various teams and stakeholders throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all phases of construction projects from inception to completion
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures on site
- Monitor project progress and identify any schedule changes or delays
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including labor costs and financial monitoring
- Lead subcontractor meetings and safety orientations to discuss project progress and safety issues
- Maintain a deficiency list and manage punch lists to ensure all aspects of the project meet quality expectations
- Collaborate with the project management team on preconstruction planning and scheduling
- Review and approve labor and supervision costs, ensuring optimal resource allocation
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, project scheduling, and quality control
- Experience with job order costing (JOC) and financial management
- Familiarity with multi-family residential and mixed-use projects
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
- Proficient in project management software and tools, including Bluebeam
- OSHA 30 certification is preferred
- Degree in Construction Management or related field is a plus
