Job Summary:
The Electronic Gaming Devices Technician Supervisor assists in the supervision, administration and coordination of the day-to-day EGD operations. This position also works with the Director of EGD and EGD management to develop and achieve goals/objectives for the department.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure compliance with the applicable Tribal, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
- Ensure the highest possible standards of guest services by properly listening and responding to guest and team member concerns and questions.
- Provide leadership and motivation to staff at all levels in order to ensure consistent professionalism.
- Supervise day-to-day activities of EGD Technicians to include performance reviews, rewards, corrective action, time and attendance, scheduling, shift bids, training, planning work, assigning work, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving issues.
- Develop work schedules for EGD Technicians to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained during projects, peak business hours and promotions.
- Receive and review applications, interview, hire, train, and process terminations or make recommendations for termination of employment for positions supervised.
- Listen and respond to guest and team member concerns and questions when needed.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures that support the achievement of department operational goals and objectives.
- If applicable, supervise all EGD technical involvement with casino kiosks. Monitor and maintain service log of kiosks to ensure operability of kiosks at all times.
- Work in conjunction with vendors and/or sign companies to ensure signs are installed timely, safely and in accordance with KLEC guidelines or EGD management's instructions when required.
- Monitor machine operation and connectivity of the gaming machines accounting system while interacting with IT and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues as required.
- Plan and implement all machine placements, relocations or device swaps as directed by EGD management.
- Update and distribute AutoCAD Floor Layouts to EGD management as requested.
- Order and monitor inventory of parts as needed.
- Plan and manage EGD technical projects in order to accomplish tasks within established timeframe.
- Assist EGD management with minor slot analysis, bank snap shots or spread sheet development when needed.
- Monitor EGD Tech shop upkeep, organization and cleanliness.
- Supervise EGD's involvement with slot chair maintenance to ensure slot chair maintenance program is up to par.
- Monitor vendor technicians to ensure daily maintenance is being performed on all EGDs. Report and/or document discrepancies to EGD management and/or vendor technician supervisor.
- Monitor EGD's preventive maintenance schedule/daily upkeep performed by KLEC and vendor technicians as required.
- Monitor and ensure EGD lock inventory is completed as required.
- Identify and submit Progressive Transfer forms for retired progressive machines as needed.
- Ensure all system generated work orders are accurately complete prior to filing.
- Issue and monitor inventory and control of tools required to perform job duties.
- Train staff on current and new technology of EGD machines.
- Demonstrate and promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.
- Manage and maintain security of confidential information entrusted to position.
- Attend and satisfactorily complete all required training as assigned.
- Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31 requirements and IRS Currency Transaction Reports and property established Anti-Money Laundering policies. Maintain accurate MTL, MIL, CTR and SAR as needed.

Minimum Requirements to Qualifications:
- Must have High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have five (5) years successful experience in a higher-level tech position at a large, high volume casino. Slot Vendor or Slot Manufacture Technician experience will be considered.
- Must have five (5) years demonstrated knowledge of casino slot department processes, guest service standards and technical workings of all EGD machines or components.
- Possess a high level of knowledge of our IGT Advantage Player Tracking System, components and wiring. Knowledge of other player tracking systems will be considered.
- Must have a high level of electronics experience, certifications or training.
- Strong communication / English skills both verbally or written required to communicate at a high level with other vendors, Vendor Technicians or engineers.
- Ability to read and understand slot par sheets.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing and critiquing floor projects.
- Demonstrated ability to recommend or write Standard Operating Procedures / Policies.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and supervise large scale floor projects and personnel.
Other Criteria:
Qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and qualified Native American preference is observed.
Basic Electronics or Computer Technician degree, training and certifications preferred.
Basic Electrician degree / license or training certificates preferred.
Prior Slot, Electronic Games Department (EGD), or other supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this position, the team member is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb and bend for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; talk and listen on a regular basis.
- The team member must be able to concentrate for prolonged periods.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
- The team member must be able to communicate effectively in person or using telecommunications equipment.
- The team member must have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, touch-screen display, telephone and calculator.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Casino floor and normal office setting.
- Frequent walking and standing in a smoke filled environment and frequent contact with the general public.
- Temperature controlled environment with varying noise levels. May be exposed to high levels of noise throughout the day.
- Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to perform under pressure and work long hours under stressful conditions.
- May be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with difficult guests and extremely irate staff members.
- May be exposed to various types of lighting including, but not limited to: artificial fluorescent lights, flashing lights, strobe lights, multiple colored lights, etc.
- Travel may be required to perform one or more essential functions of this position.
Conditions of Employment:
- Must be able to obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including successful completion of background check necessary to obtain and maintain license. Responsible to keep all documents current and valid at all times.
- Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have access to reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
- Must comply with KLEC handbook, internal policy and procedures, and gaming regulations set within KLEC.
