Solar Lead Electrician & Crew Foreman – Job Description
​​​​​Position Title: Solar Lead Electrician & Crew Foreman
Location: Northern Branch- 2108 McDonough St, Joliet, IL 60436
Reports To: Field Supervisor
Pay Range: $32 - $38/hour

​​​​​​Overview: The Foreman plays the role of both hands-on jobsite leader and lead electrician. They ensure job site safety, crew efficiency, and quality control—ultimately delivering high-performing systems on time and within scope.
What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years experience with solar electrical, especially back up batteries

• Prior experience leading crews or teams on job sites

• Knowledgeable in multiple solar installation systems, including both the AC and DC side

• Ability to troubleshoot system issues as they arise

• Highly reliable, last to leave job site

• Has phone with HD camera that can be used for uploading install photos in the field

• Proficient in using hand and power tools

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Valid driver’s license and clean record

• Preferred: Electrical license
  Preferred: Experience with Tesla systems

What You’ll Do:

• Lead electrical installation in accordance with plan set

• Troubleshoot and communicate issues on site with field supervisor or design team to find efficient solutions

• Manage daily on-site operations and crew performance

  • High quality workmanship

  • Verifying that all required job site photos are properly captured, labeled, and uploaded for documentation and project closeout

  • Maintaining site safety protocols

  • Overseeing thorough job site cleanup

  • Close-out reports

• Communicate mid-day job progress to leadership

• Train and mentor crew members

• Deliver a positive customer experience
