Medical Office Assistant
Location: McLean, VA
Pay: $20–25/hour
Work Environment
Fast-paced, high-volume medical clinic. This role requires moving throughout the office during the shift, including front desk and back-office areas, while performing data entry and supporting clinic operations.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Compensation and Benefits

Duration: 6 months (Contract to Hire)

About the Role
The Medical Office Assistant plays a key role in supporting daily clinic operations and ensuring an excellent patient experience. This individual will work closely with clinical staff and providers to keep patient flow efficient while maintaining accurate documentation within electronic health record systems. This is a long-term contract opportunity with potential for full-time conversion.
Key Responsibilities
• Support clinic flow by ensuring patients are roomed efficiently prior to appointments
• Perform scheduling, referrals, and follow-up coordination
• Document clinical and administrative information within electronic medical record systems including provider notes, patient demographics, insurance information, and COVID screening responses
• Assist with patient intake and manage patient data accurately
• Provide excellent customer service and support positive patient experiences
• Work across multiple clinic areas as needed throughout the shift
Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a similar healthcare administrative role
• At least 1 year of experience supporting clinic operations
• Experience working within EHR/EMR systems
• Strong patient service and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment
