Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)

Location: Southern California (Multiple Sites)

Pay Rate: $80/hour (Travel)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologists (CNMT) for high-volume academic medical centers in Southern California. These locations perform a wide range of nuclear medicine and PET procedures, including clinical trials and advanced radiopharmaceutical studies. This role is best suited for candidates who can work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Available Locations

  • Irvine, CA (2 openings): Nuclear Medicine only (no PET). Single-camera department. Inpatient and outpatient mix.
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
  • Costa Mesa, CA (1 opening): PET scans only
  • Orange, CA (2 openings): Combination of Nuclear Medicine and PET
  • Los Alamitos, CA (1 urgent opening): Slightly slower-paced environment
  • Schedule after initial weeks: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Candidates will be assigned to one location for the full 13-week contract. Rotation between locations will not occur during the initial assignment.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Day shifts with start times between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM
  • No on-call expected (call-back only if required)

Compensation

  • $80/hour for travel candidates

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year full-time experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Active California CNMT license
  • Current NMTCB and/or ARRT (N) certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Knowledge of radiation safety regulations and ALARA principles
  • Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain productivity in a high-volume academic setting

Candidates with only low-volume or community hospital experience may not be the best fit for these roles.
