We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina for a remote opportunity. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for individuals who excel in client-facing roles and have a strong background in bookkeeping and financial management. The role involves working closely with small business clients to manage their financial transactions and deliver accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Download and categorize financial transactions for small business clients.
• Reconcile accounts against bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and present financial statements in a clear and organized manner.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes efficiently.
• Perform month-end close procedures and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Conduct payroll calculations and ensure timely processing.
• Utilize QuickBooks to maintain and update financial records.
• Handle data entry tasks with precision to maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with clients to address financial inquiries and provide excellent service.
• Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills and client-facing professionalism.
• Ability to perform month-end close procedures and resolve discrepancies.
• Detail-oriented approach to data entry and financial record maintenance.
• Familiarity with tax consulting or related industries is preferred.
