Facility Name: North Kansas City Hospital

Position: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Shift: Days

Schedule: Part-time, Days 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM OR 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, primarily on weekends and holidays, with some weekdays depending on census.

About Our Team

Our 48-bed Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) at North Kansas City Hospital is a fast-paced yet fun environment filled with endless opportunities to learn and grow. With an amazing team of over 25 full-time therapists, you’ll be surrounded by support and collaboration every step of the way!

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a dynamic Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant who is passionate about helping others and thrives in a team-oriented environment!

Your Responsibilities

  • Communicate patient progress or concerns to supervisors and team members.
  • Instruct patients' families and nursing staff on follow-through programs.
  • Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
  • Document patient care in compliance with regulatory and accrediting requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area and equipment.
  • Adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program with an Associate's degree.
  • Current and valid state OTA license or equivalent.
  • Inpatient experience preferred.
  • CPR certification (when required).
