- Certifications: Holds current Well Control training certification and relevant field experience
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and execution of fracturing operations, including rigging up and down of equipment
- Monitor and manage the flowback process, including fluid returns, gas flaring, and separation of oil, gas, and water
- Ensure all frac and flowback equipment is operating properly and perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs when necessary
- Monitor well pressure and flow rates to ensure the operation is conducted safely and efficiently, following company and regulatory guidelines
- Accurately record flowback data, including pressure readings, flow rates, and equipment status. Provide detailed reports to the Field Supervisor
- Follow strict safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), adherence to safety guidelines, and reporting of any safety incidents
- Work closely with other field technicians, engineers, and the site management team to ensure smooth operations and the timely completion of tasks
- Ensure that environmental regulations are followed, minimizing spills and emissions during flowback operations
- Model professionalism from the proper use of PPE, integration of ‘living’ JSAs, and checklists
- Possess detailed knowledge of best practices and expert situational awareness of pad operations
- Capable of independently supporting frac, drill out, flowback, and production operations
- Can operate, fix, or construct safe and resourceful workarounds for manifold, plug catcher, SKO, line heater, and low/high-pressure separator
Physical Requirements
- Operators often need to lift heavy equipment and work long hours, sometimes in strenuous conditions
- Ability to navigate uneven terrain, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Long shifts, sometimes in extreme weather conditions, require physical and mental stamina
- Good eyesight is essential for spotting potential hazards and monitoring equipment
- Skills in handling tools and operating machinery with precision
- Able to lift 50-100lbs
