About Us

ISMGis a global intelligence firm and media powerhouse, leading the way in cybersecurity, enterprise IT, and digital transformation. With 10+ brands, 38 digital media properties, and over 400 premier events annually—ISMG connects a network of over 2M executives, decision-makers, and innovators with the insights and opportunities they need to stay ahead.

We are entering an extraordinary growth phase—expanding our editorial depth and global reach. If you’re passionate about shaping narratives that influence the world of cybersecurity and enterprise technology, this is your moment to lead.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Correspondent & Managing Editor to lead coverage for OT.Today, ISMG’s dedicated channel focused on cybersecurity risks across operational technology, critical infrastructure, and industrial systems. In this role, you will own one of the most consequential beats in cybersecurity—reporting on threats to power grids, water systems, manufacturing plants, defense assets, and space technologies as OT and IT rapidly converge.

This is a hands-on reporting and editorial leadership position where you will break news, uncover emerging threats, and deliver exclusive interviews with CISOs, infrastructure executives, government officials, and OT security innovators. It’s an exceptional opportunity for an experienced enterprise technology or cybersecurity journalist who thrives on beat ownership, source development, and shaping stories that influence risk, policy, and technology decisions at the highest levels.

What You'll Do

  • Create and curate timely, engaging, and authoritative content for OT.Today

  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar in alignment with industry events, regulatory updates, and breaking news

  • Report, produce, and edit 3–5+ pieces of multi-media content weekly (articles, thought leadership/ opinion pieces, investigative features, original video/audio interviews, etc.)

  • Conduct regular interviews with leaders in OT security, critical infrastructure, ICS/SCADA, and policy

  • Represent ISMG at industry events—moderate panels, host interviews, gather reporting insights

  • Build and maintain a strong network of sources across energy, utilities, manufacturing, defense, and telco

  • Align coverage with major attacks, federal initiatives, infrastructure investment, and global OT security trends

What You'll Bring to the Table

Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years journalism or multimedia reporting experience

  • Ability to break news and develop senior-level sources

  • Strong reporting/writing, news judgment, and interviewing skills

  • Passion for cybersecurity, industrial systems, or enterprise technology

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, compelling way

Nice-to-Haves (Not Required — Can Be Learned On The Job):

  • Experience covering cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, national security, or tech policy

  • Knowledge of ICS, SCADA, IIoT, power grid operations, telecom, or manufacturing systems

  • Familiarity with NERC CIP, NIST CSF, CISA initiatives, NIS2, or sector-specific safety standards

  • Experience producing multimedia content and/or a background in video interviews, podcasts, or panels

  • Event moderation experience

????Why Join ISMG?

  • Fast-growing digital media organization with a globally recognized editorial team

  • Clear beat definition in global cybersecurity → operational technology & critical infrastructure

  • Unmatched access to sources (CISOs, engineers, regulators, & threat intelligence leaders)

  • Purposeful work in a mission-driven, innovative media environment
