Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A licensed professional is needed to provide specialized support services within an elementary school setting. This position is offered on a contract basis for the current school year and requires expertise in counseling for students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
Location: Derry, NH
Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week over 3 days
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as a Counselor, Social Worker, or School Psychologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Proven ability to support students with emotional behavioral disorders (EBD)
- Candidates must hold valid licensure; statements of eligibility will not be accepted
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within educational settings
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 12 students with high EBD needs
- Develop and implement individualized support plans
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and other support staff
- Conduct counseling sessions and behavioral assessments
- Maintain accurate records and comply with program regulations
