Len The Plumber Heating and Air are seeking a talented Sales Service Manager to lead a team of 15+ service technicians. The Service Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day sales, operations, and customer service experience for their own technician team.

Salaried exempt Management position with monthly Bonus eligibility for Team / Branch performance.

We are looking for a leader who is self-driven and highly motivated to make a strong impact on the team, the company, and our customers. Our ideal candidate would preferably come from a plumbing background, have been a licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber, or be a successful residential Service Tech. Successful Team Management experience required.

Experience with NEXSTAR or SERVICE TITAN is extremely helpful!

We are looking for a self-driven and highly motivated leader to make a strong impact on the team, the company, and our customers. Our ideal candidate would preferably come from a plumbing background, have been a licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber, or be a successful residential Service Tech.

As a service manager, you will be actively:

  • Effectively hire, coach, and train technicians to maximize sales and customer service opportunities
  • Respond to and effectively handles operational, employee, and customer issues promptly and efficiently
  • Optimize employee engagement and development for the Service Department
  • Assess and adjust manpower allocation for the day relative to customer demand and business needs
  • Inspect trucks and uniforms
  • Determine actions needed to hit daily/weekly/monthly goal

Essential Job Functions:

  • Delegating and directing service tasks, monitoring the progress of current projects, and managing service team members to ensure the team's objectives and sales goals are met
  • Handling customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally to maintain good customer relationships and ensure repeat customers
  • Assisting with or performing administrative tasks, such as managing and updating invoices, processing new orders, and tracking inventory
  • Setting up and maintaining a service desk and evaluating its efficiency
  • Resolving service desk problems and improving service methods to increase the service desk's productivity and customer service
  • Monitoring department issues and client complaints to create methods to lessen recurring issues
  • Auditing work and customer service to ensure the company's high standards, efficiency, and productivity goals are met
  • Maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers, dealers, and sales representatives
  • Helping to train new employees in company procedures
  • Maintaining a strong working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, ensuring the company's adherence to these regulations, and remaining current on the industry's standards and new innovations, materials, tools, and processes

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of direct management experience in the plumbing industry, or have been a successful residential service technician with experience in other residential/consumer services (HVAC, Pest Control, Roofing, Landscaping, etc.)
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to mobilize and drive a team to achieve set goals (revenue, efficiency, and customer service)
  • Ability to solve complex problems and develop an appropriate action plan
  • Clear, articulate speaking voices with superb telephone skills
  • Clear thinking and prioritizing under all circumstances
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and high-volume environment
  • A desire to learn and develop new skills with minimal direction
  • The ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Experience/Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, associates and college degrees preferred
