Role Overview

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide advanced clinical care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. The NP works closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care. This position emphasizes preventive care, patient education, and adherence to clinical best practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to RNs, LPNs, medical assistants, and other clinical staff.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new personnel.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and performance feedback processes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and physical exams.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and health conditions.
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, screenings).
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies within state regulations and NP scope of practice.
  • Provide preventive care, health screenings, immunizations, and wellness counseling.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment options, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, timely medical records in EMR systems.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, quality assurance, and performance improvement activities.

Required Skills & Abilities

Education & Experience

  • MSN or DNP from an accredited program
  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice
  • National certification in relevant specialty (e.g., Family, Adult-Gerontology, Women’s Health NP)
  • Active RN license in the state of practice
  • DEA license and controlled substance registration, as required
  • BLS certification; ACLS may be required depending on specialty
  • Prior clinical experience preferred; new graduates may be considered
  • Experience in obstetrics or women’s health strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for long periods
  • Perform physical exams and clinical procedures
  • Lift and assist patients or equipment (up to 25 lbs)
  • Manual dexterity for clinical tasks
  • Adaptability to fast-paced clinical environments
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
