Job DescriptionDESCRIPTION OF EMPLOYER: Founded in 1901, Feeser’s, Inc. is a family owned and operated full-line foodservice distributor located in Harrisburg, PA servicing the Mid-Atlantic region. Feeser’s provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions.

SUMMARY: Feeser’s has immediate job openings for dependable local non-CDL Drivers to operate a car, van, or non-CDL required box truck safely and efficiently and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Non-CDL Drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily Pre- and Post trips of equipment.
  • Keep track of hours of service on mobile ELD.
  • Unload customer products utilizing a pump jack and hand truck.
  • Utilize Feeser’s Point of Delivery system to scan customer product during delivery.
  • Reconcile any product shorts or damages on the customer invoices and the POD system.
  • Manage invoices, manifests, pick up slips, and COD payments from customers.
  • Successfully passing Feeser's driving and knowledge proficiency tests.

PHYSICAL / COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • The ability to repeatedly climb in and out of a van or truck
  • Conduct periodic spot checks of the vehicle without accommodation.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up-to to 50 lbs., and lift safely and repetitively with or without accommodations.
  • Must be able to operate handcart utilizing delivery ramps and lift gates.
  • Effectively operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effectively communicate via mobile messaging system.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Work in a fast-paced distribution environment.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Class C non-commercial drivers license.
  • A high level of comfort with backing and urban, metro, and highway.
  • Must possess a clean driving record, subject to DOT driver history review.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 100 pounds.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about accomplishing tasks or moving from one work site to another.
  • Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools / Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Will be required to work in both hot and cold temperature environments to include seasonal heat, seasonal cold and refrigerated environments.
  • Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
  • Noisy environnements, hazardous conditions, Poor ventilation.
  • Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust.
