Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Two paraprofessional openings are available in a school setting located in Derry, NH. These contract positions offer 32.5 hours per week, with work hours from 8:35 AM to 3:10 PM, starting ASAP and ending June 17, 2026. This role involves supporting students with behavioral needs in a special education environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with behavioral challenges while maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment
- Provide support with toileting and diapering as necessary
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt to any classroom rearrangements
- Adhere to school policies, including no use of restraint and avoiding heavy-duty physical tasks
Qualifications and Experience:
- Prior behavioral-based experience in a school setting as a paraprofessional
- Comfortable working with the special education population
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Completion of district fingerprints and ability to pass district/agency onboarding
- One completed reference must be submitted before candidate presentation
- Flexibility to adapt to classroom needs
