Have you previously worked in a Retail Technology environment? i.e. Mobile Phone Stores, Computer Repair, Consumer Technology.

Do you have previous experience working in retail B2C sales?

Do you love people and customer service? Can you form long-term customer relationships?

Summary

Directs and coordinates purchasing and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies for each location and for the company. Will receive notification from each location through systems of communication to order and ship, to create a return (RMA), and to stock each location and company with merchandise. Will assist with inventory management to help control cash flow impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.

Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Working with the VPO to oversee the purchasing department.
  • Create and Receive Purchase Orders, Place Vendor Orders, Approve Order Acknowledgements
  • Keep accurate records of purchases made per location, dates, status, and with notes
  • Overseeing shipping schedules, maintaining track and communication with location to receive.
  • Perform vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, quality control, and delivery schedule.
  • Work with store locations to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies and ensure that orders received are accurate and not damaged.
  • Work closely with store locations to ensure products purchased are in line with the needs of the company
  • Identify and report inventory stocking recommendations to location managers.
  • Coordinate and oversee bulk purchases for multiple store locations
  • Assist store locations with RMA request and processing.
  • Signing and reviewing purchasing agreements with vendors monitoring their performance.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify popular products
  • Use monthly and quarterly data to determine purchasing needs and performing inventory management.
  • Maintain minimum stock levels for fast moving items.
  • Maintain current awareness of industry market trends
  • Supervise and assist with identifying and classifying inventory items.
  • Supervise and assist with scheduled inventory counts for all locations
  • Supervise and assist with inventory management of aging inventory in all locations.
  • Prepare and report monthly inventory and purchasing activities.
  • Identify and initiate inventory transfers to avoid purchasing additional merchandise.
  • Assist with reconciling credit card and bank statements with purchases.

Education and/or Experience Requirements & Preferences

  • High School or higher
  • Knowledge in Computer and other device components
  • Previous experience in IT, customer service, and sales
  • Knowledge of Google Suite apps, MS office, online e-commerce, shipping
  • Experience with reconciliation of different forms and online gui methods

Eligibility Requirements

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the USA
  • Pass background & reference check
  • Possess a California Driver’s License; provide a clean DMV record, proof of insurability; Able to commute to all locations.
  • Fully vaccinated for covid-19
  • Available to work during open business days and hours

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly wage at $20 / Hour.
  • Non-Exempt – eligible for overtime
  • Part-time – not eligible for company benefits

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Strong oral and written communication skills, great listening skills and have patience. Ability to work successfully with a diverse group of internal and external customers, business professionals, vendors, and officials.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, customer coupons, percentage discounts as needed.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and good understanding of popular off the shelf programs including MS Suite, Google Suite, consumer financial programs, browser interface for email, remote connections. Have knowledge and good understanding of computer hardware parts and boot-up processes.

The associate is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time in vehicle in traffic due to service-call visits to customers.

Off-site places could include areas under construction, dust, bright or dimly lit, open to air and elements or in a small closed space, hot or cold.
