Position Overview:

The Supervisor is to empower, inspire and motivate their team of Coaches and/or Specialists to work together to achieve programmatic goals in the Working Alongside Youth (WAY) Fair Futures program in the Family Foster Care Dept. The goal of the program is to help build positive peer relationships and strengthen social transitions for young people exiting foster care. WAY Coach Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring coaches 1:1 coaching, and assisting in areas of social, education, employment, with emphasis on social and networking development as well as data entry into Care4 system. Track and monitor documentation for adolescents preparing youth for adulthood.

Position Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Preferred or Minimum 2 years or more experience working with at-risk youth. Demonstrate initiative and creativity, particularly with adolescents. Demonstrate experience in group work. Demonstrate understanding of the issues of the NYC community. Demonstrate understanding of the issues facing Black and Latino adolescents. Ability to work as a team member and independently. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with youth and staff. Demonstrate ability to effectively use a multi-cultural approach in working with special needs youth. Excellent oral communication skills.
