This dynamic travel RN opportunity on a Cardiac Renal Med/Surg and Telemetry unit will deepen your clinical skills in a diverse, high-acuity setting. Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts (6:30am–7:00pm)
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week (option for 48hrs upon request)
  • Every other holiday; three weekends per six-week schedule
  • 13-week contract starting June 1, with bi-weekly orientation
  • Floating required within skillset, occasionally between nearby campuses (full travel support provided)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care to high-acuity Tele/MS patients with cardiac complications (Afib, flutter, blocks, CHF, COPD, post-ablation, dialysis)
  • Accurately interpret 12-lead EKGs and pass telemetry competency tests
  • Initiate and titrate antiarrhythmic, heparin, and other drips
  • Manage nephrostomy tubes, PIV insertions, and indwelling/chest drains
  • Chart promptly and accurately in EPIC
  • Precept students and new hires as part of a collaborative, teaching-focused environment

Qualifications:

  • Active compact RN license, AHA BLS/ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years strong Tele/Cardiac experience and 1 prior travel assignment
  • Recent Level II trauma and EPIC charting experience (will complete class/checkoff)
  • Hardworking, resilient, excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Flexible for float assignments; embraces change
