Job Description

Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, the largest gun violence prevention advocacy group in the country, is seeking a passionate, dedicated intern to work with the Office of the General Counsel (“OGC”) in a fast-paced, mission-driven nonprofit family of organizations.

This is a full-time summer position based in Washington, DC. The position runs from June through August and is hybrid being in-office a couple days a week.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Helping the lobbying team to ensure lobbying compliance, including collecting required information for reports and assisting with lobbyist trainings on lobbying compliance responsibilities and processes, and other compliance and administrative tasks
  • Supporting the elections team in reporting compliance and other legal support, compliance, and administrative tasks
  • Researching issues relevant to nonprofit education and advocacy organizations
  • Assisting OGC attorneys with updating contract and grant templates and contract management
  • Other duties as assigned by attorneys in OGC

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate educational institution encouraged to apply
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Solid organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced organization
  • Ability to handle confidential organizational matters
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to rapidly shift between multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience with collaboration and productive teamwork
  • Experience with Google Suite and Asana is preferred, but not required

The minimum hourly rate for this role is $17.00p/hr
