Schedule: Full-Time – 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Overtime available and sometimes required
The Manufacturing Technician is vital in delivering our high-quality products, ground up new product development, and customer service. This role is responsible for building /assembly, installation, customer service and diagnosing problems with our automated equipment within the truss building industry. Some travel is required. In the field, this position is responsible for the work site and delivering on customer satisfaction and productivity objectives. This role requires installing machinery in an industrial environment with little to no assistance or supervision. In the shop, this role requires machine assembly, manufacturing and support duties as well as updating parts records, filing reports, and job planning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient manufacturing production
- Provide technical support for our automated equipment line
- Diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions
- Develop service documentation, monitor timekeeping, submit reports, and manage travel expenses (when required)
- Produce timely and detailed service reports
- Maintain an organized accounting of parts used and feed back to our supply system to properly maintain required inventory.
- Keep tools and equipment clean, organized and properly maintained
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must have a working knowledge of automated systems and electro-mechanical devices
- Must have experience diagnosing problems with electro-mechanical devices.
- Must be able to perform physical maintenance work including the ability to lift at least 50-70 pounds
- Must have general hand and electric tool experience
- Must be able to drive a forklift and use lifting devices
- Must practice personal and environmental safety on the job using protective equipment such as: gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection etc.
- • Must have and maintain a current passport and valid drivers license.
- Some travel in Canada may be required.
