Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time early childhood special education position offers the opportunity to work with Pre-K students within a dedicated Kansas City, KS school setting. The role focuses on providing tailored support to children with special needs, fostering their educational development in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's unique needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including parents and support staff, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to support social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Manage a caseload of 8-18 early childhood students, monitoring progress and adapting plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all educational regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with early childhood (Pre-K) populations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of developmental milestones and special education laws.
- Ability to create engaging, inclusive classroom environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Location and Schedule:
- Position based at an Early Childhood Center in the Kansas City, KS area.
- Full-time contract role with a 37.5-hour workweek.
- Contract duration available through May 22, 2026.
