Chang Dental Group is a multi-specialty dental practice with a team of general dentists, prosthodontists, periodontists, and endodontists. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. This position is 3 days a week, Mon – Wed. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role is essential in supporting the dentist during procedures, ensuring smooth daily operations, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in both clinical and administrative support, helping maintain an efficient workflow while providing high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure operatories are fully stocked and ready for patients
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control and OSHA/CDC compliance
  • Take and develop digital X-rays as permitted by state regulations
  • Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout the visit
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans
  • Update and maintain accurate patient records and charting
  • Support scheduling, patient flow, and communication with the front office team
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies

Qualifications

  • Dental Assistant certification or licensure as required by state regulations
  • Previous chairside dental assisting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
  • Experience with digital X-rays and dental software systems preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software
  • General restorative and hygiene assisting experience
  • Strong patient care and customer service skills
