HR Generalist | Delta Township, MI
Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly production, skilled trades, and administrative roles, ensuring timely staffing to meet production demands.
- Administer employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, performance management, and grievance handling for plant personnel.
- Ensure HR compliance with federal and state labor laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA) and company policies, maintaining accurate employee records.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding, including comprehensive safety orientations specific to the manufacturing environment.
- Support supervisors and managers with performance management processes, talent development, and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
- Process payroll inputs, administer benefits programs, and respond to employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits.
- Coordinate and track mandatory safety training and other compliance-related training programs for all plant personnel.
Recommended Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA regulations and FMLA, relevant to manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and conducting HR investigations.
- Ability to manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of manufacturing roles (e.g., production, maintenance, quality).
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and experience with benefits administration, payroll support, and workers' compensation processes.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with unionized environments or collective bargaining agreements.
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and best practices.
- Proficiency in Spanish or other languages common in local manufacturing workforces.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
