Job Description
Job DescriptionDescription:
This Is Not a Job. It’s a Mission.
Clincian (NP / PA / MD / DO) | Ankeny, IA
James Clinic was built for clinicians who refuse to practice assembly-line medicine.
We exist for those who are done asking permission, done ignoring root causes, and done watching patients fall through the cracks of a broken system. We move fast, think deeply, and execute relentlessly. We are equal parts science, strategy, and soul.
If you’re looking for safe, slow, or familiar—this is not your place.
If you want to help build the future of medicine with elite humans who care fiercely and perform relentlessly, keep reading.
Who We Are
James Clinic is a high-performance, integrative medical practice redefining what modern healthcare looks like. We blend advanced diagnostics, cutting-edge therapies, and uncompromising standards to deliver outcomes most clinics don’t even attempt.
We are:
- Aggressive in pursuit of excellence
- Creative in solving complex problems
- Groundbreaking in our clinical approach
- Deeply caring about patients and each other
- Unapologetically independent
We don’t do medicine by habit.
We do it by design.
Who Thrives Here
We attract Medical Mavericks.
Clinicians who:
- Are tired of corporate medicine, insurance games, and bureaucratic nonsense
- Want real autonomy, accountability, and ownership of their craft
- Think critically and act decisively
- Can keep up in a fast-moving, high-expectation environment
- Care deeply about patients—not just protocols
- Take pride in being excellent, every single day
You don’t need your hand held.
You don’t wait to be told what to do.
You see a problem—and you solve it.
The Pace (Read This Twice)
We move fast.
We change quickly.
We iterate constantly.
New therapies launch.
Systems evolve.
Standards rise.
If you need:
Rigid rules
- Excessive supervision
- “That’s how we’ve always done it”
- A slow ramp with low expectations
This will feel uncomfortable.
If you thrive where excellence is assumed, speed is respected, and growth is constant, you’ll feel at home here.
What We Expect
We value:
- Excellence over effort
- Ownership over excuses
- Team success over ego
- Results over appearances
- Integrity in every decision
We expect you to:
- Show up prepared, focused, and accountable
- Continuously learn and sharpen your clinical edge
- Treat patients like family and teammates like allies
- Protect the culture as fiercely as the mission
This is not a clock-in, clock-out clinic.
This is a craft.
What You’ll Bring
- Active NP, PA, MD, or DO license (Iowa-eligible)
- Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience required
- Strong diagnostic skills and comfort with acuity and complexity
- Functional medicine experience preferred (or a strong desire to learn)
- Confidence practicing with autonomy and accountability
Schedule
- Full time contract 1099
- Part Time contract 1099 (minimum 2 days /week)
- Monday–Friday
- Flexible hours (built for high performers, not clock-watchers)
What You’ll Get
In return, we offer:
- Real autonomy and clinical independence
- A culture of high trust and high standards
- Exposure to elite medicine, advanced diagnostics, and forward-thinking care
- A team that pushes you to be better than you thought possible
- The opportunity to build something that actually matters
We invest heavily in people who invest in themselves.
This Is Your Invitation
If you’ve felt boxed in by the system…
